Author Guidelines

1. Overview and Scope

Artificial Intelligence and Computing Innovations (AICI) publishes original research, technical developments, and review papers that advance knowledge in artificial intelligence, computer science, data analytics, and emerging computing technologies. The journal emphasizes methodological innovation, theoretical rigor, and impactful applications across academic, industrial, and interdisciplinary domains.

2. Manuscript Categories

AICI accepts the following types of contributions:

  • Research Articles – Complete studies presenting novel algorithms, models, or empirical findings.
  • Review Articles – In-depth analyses summarizing and synthesizing existing work in a particular field.
  • Technical Notes / Short Communications – Concise descriptions of specific methods, datasets, or tools.
  • Case Studies and Applications – Demonstrations of innovative applications of AI and computing systems.

Each submission must be clearly identified under one of these categories during submission.

3. Manuscript Preparation

All manuscripts must be written in clear, grammatical English (U.S. spelling preferred). Submissions should be prepared in Microsoft Word or LaTeX format.

Formatting Requirements

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt; line spacing: 1.5; page size: A4 with 2.5 cm margins.
  • Section headings should be numbered (e.g., 1. Introduction, 2. Related Work).
  • Figures and tables must be numbered consecutively and referenced in the main text.
  • Equations should be centered, numbered, and editable (not inserted as images).
  • All units should follow the SI system.

Recommended Structure

  1. Title Page
  2. Abstract (150–250 words)
  3. Keywords (4–8 words)
  4. Introduction
  5. Related Work
  6. Methodology / Model
  7. Results and Discussion
  8. Conclusion and Future Work

  10. References

4. References and Citations

  • AICI follows the APA 7 reference style.
  • Ensure all references are accurate, complete, and properly formatted before submission.

5. Figures, Tables, and Supplementary Materials

  • Submit high-resolution figures in JPEG, PNG, or TIFF (minimum 300 dpi).
  • Each table and figure must include a descriptive caption and be cited in the text (e.g., as shown in Figure 2).
  • Supplementary materials (datasets, code, appendices) should be uploaded as separate files.

6. Ethical and Legal Considerations

Authors must ensure that their work is original and has not been published elsewhere.

  • Any use of AI-assisted tools (e.g., for image generation, text editing, or analysis) must be disclosed in the “Acknowledgment” section.
  • Authors must obtain permission to reproduce previously published materials.
  • Submissions involving human or animal data must include an Ethical Approval Statement.

7. Data and Code Availability

AICI encourages reproducible research. Authors should provide a Data Availability Statement at the end of the manuscript, indicating where the dataset and source code can be accessed (e.g., Zenodo, GitHub, institutional repositories).

8. Authorship and Contribution

All listed authors must have made substantial intellectual contributions to the work.
During submission, the corresponding author should confirm that:

  • All co-authors approve the submission.
  • The order of authorship is agreed upon by all contributors.
  • Each author’s ORCID ID and institutional affiliation are provided.

9. Conflicts of Interest and Funding

Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest, whether financial or personal, that could influence the work.
If the research was supported by funding, the Funding Statement should identify the sponsor and grant number.

10. Copyright and Open Access Policy

Upon acceptance, authors retain copyright and grant AICI the non-exclusive right to publish under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0).
This allows others to share and adapt the work provided the original authors and source are properly credited.

11. Peer Review Process

All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review. Authors should ensure that their submissions are anonymized:

  • Remove names and affiliations from the manuscript file.
  • Omit self-identifying references and acknowledgments.

At least two independent reviewers will evaluate each submission. The final decision rests with the editorial board based on the reviewers’ reports.

12. Editorial and Production Process

Accepted manuscripts proceed through copyediting, layout formatting, and proof review before publication.
Authors are expected to return corrected proofs within three (3) business days to avoid publication delay.

13. Contact Information

All correspondence should be addressed to the editorial office:
